CHINA says Hong Kong will "participate more" in the nearby Guangdong economy and that "the two economies will move quickly toward integration." 80% of Hongkong manufacturing has already moved to Guangdong, under HK ownership and management. They now run 40,000 factories employing 5 million people, and are responsible for a big share of Guangdong's $60 billion (US) exports and $50 billion annual imports. Sounds like Hong Kong is taking over!
