East Texas Mensa and East Texas Baptist University's Music Dept will host the KTPB Public Radio staff at our 4th annual KTPB Appreciation Dinner. Meet us at the Jalapeno Tree Restaurant on Hwy 259 and help us thank them for their great classical music, news, local concerts, and Kilgore College sports.
Make friends with Kathy Roberts, Manny Almanza, Bryan Black, Kevin Kelly, Jim Allen and Richard Anderson. ETBU helps pay the bill, but we need Mensans there to pick up a couple of checks, too. KTPB is celebrating 10 years of broadcasting as of February 5th, serving Tyler, Longview, Kilgore, Marshall, and many other towns in the center of our Mensa group.
From Tyler, take Hwy 31 to Kilgore, turn right on 259 and go south about 2 blocks past Wal-Mart. Jalapeno Tree is on the left across from Durham Chevrolet. From Longview go south on 259, etc, etc. Ask for the KTPB tables.
March 17 (Saturday) Tyler's Panda Chinese Cafe - 7 pm 713 Loop 323 WSW. (Actually just a mile or so west of the Mall on the south loop)
April 21 (Saturday) Burgers at Sean Healy's in Tyler - On the Loop-- go 3 Blocks north of the Van 110 Hwy and Loop intersection, turn east onto Lee St. Go 2 blocks to #2029 Lee St.
