American Mensa’s National Testing Day will be held on Saturday, October 16, 2004. Local groups across the country will administer the Mensa Admission Test on that day. East Texas Mensa will be conducting the test in Tyler at 4 pm on October 16th at 309 E Erwin. Anyone who scores in the top two percent on the Mensa Admission Test will be invited to join Mensa. The test is open to any person age 14 and older. The test fee is $30 and a photo ID is required. Parental permission is required for anyone age 14-17.

After the testing session, East Texas Mensa will meet for their monthly gathering at Cracker Barrel Restaurant at I-20 and US Hwy 69, at 6 p.m. (SW corner of Hwy 69 & I-20).
Five million Americans are eligible to join Mensa. Members of Mensa get together locally for events such as speaker meetings, potluck dinners, and game nights. Nationally, members may attend events such as our Annual Gathering, Mind Games® and Colloquium. American Mensa also has more than 150 special interest groups ranging from astronomy to scuba.

The October meeting of our Texoma Area Mensa Group will be held on Thursday, October 21, 2003, at the Golden Corral Restaurant (Highway 82 at Loy Lake Road east of Hwy 75) in Sherman, 7:00 PM. We are normally in the north end of the dining room. Typical Mensa format and fare. Please RSVP your attendance if possible to roger-powell@sbcglobal.net. Remember that your family, your friends, your children, and all others are welcome at our iable.
