It's time for a Mensa picnic!
Tyler
State
Park is just north
of I-20 on state Hwy 14, due north of Tyler. (Get on I-20
from wherever you are, and drive toward Tyler.) The state
day-pass fee is charged for each car.
The park is easy to find on the left side of Hwy 14. Pay for your day-pass, and take a left
when the road eventually forks. You
will be headed toward the bathhouse and the large swimming area. We need to get a Mensa Picnic table - we
usually find one west of the swimming area. (Drive
around.)
Paddleboats
provide a cool ride (if you splash a little water) and are available for rent on
the west side of the bathhouse.
Bring extra bread for the ducks and sunscreen for your
feathers. Bring a picnic or buy
Bodacious BBQ at I-20 and Hwy 14.

The TAMG
meeting dates have been moved to Tuesday night, and the July meeting date is
July 19. You are likely to engage in some lively conversation, unbridled humor,
some intense discussions on a variety of subjects, and a collection of people
you are not likely to find on your travels. Bring the kids, too. We meet at the
Golden Corral Restaurant, Loy Lake
Road at Highway 82, east of Highway 75,
Sherman, 7:00 PM. We can match any vacation story you can recall,
from Paris to Paris, from Hugo to The
Hague, and from Bells to Bankok.
